Jay Chia Henareh (b. 1999, Urmiya, Iran) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work unfolds at the intersections of performance art, visual art, storytelling, and music. Based in Amsterdam, Jay creates immersive sensory experiences that challenge conventional perceptions, revealing the interplay of human light and shadow. Driven by a deep commitment to truth and transformation. He uses his practice to open emotional landscapes, reflecting the undivided world within and around us.

 

In 2024, he graduated from Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at Amsterdam’s Academy of Theatre and Dance. During his studies there, Jay discovered performance art and began experimenting across various media; film, audiovisual experiences, and immersive installations. In that time, he produced his first quintet of works, marking the true beginning of his artistic career.

 

Jay approaches his art as ritual, a continuous exploration of raw vulnerability and radical honesty. Through his work, he invites audiences into spaces of introspection and collective awakening, navigating identity, perspective, and the powerful potential of artistic expression.
